Never the stranger's hit single "
Moving Closer" which was made famous by
Close Up's TV commercial Moving Closer. When I first heard this song, thought this is a foreign band but was surprised when I searched it on YouTube. Never the Stranger was actually a Filipino band composed of four pinoy member named
Ace Libre as lead vocals and keyboards,
PJ LaViña on
drums and percussion,
Francis Victa on
bass guitar and
JP del Mundo on
guitars.
With their album out under
Warner Music Philippines, they confessed that they never thought they would hear their song being played on the radio nor on TV. They were happy enough with people LSS-ing (Last Song Syndrome) to their first single
“Alive” from hearing it at their gigs.
